Where is the love?

I remember when the Blackeyed Peas’ song “Where is the love?” first came out. I wrote about it the very first year I keep this blog, and I used it in a series of workshops I was doing at the time with high school students — many of whom couldn’t believe that a theology professor would do such a thing. I remember thinking “how is it that they don’t believe God can speak to us through popular culture?”

Now the Blackeyed Peas have remixed the song with new images, and some new melodies. Still it makes me cry. But it remains a prayer that I say/sing regularly!
