Remembering Pete Seeger

There’s so much to celebrate about Pete Seeger, that even in my grief at his passing I am smiling with memories. If you haven’t seen it already, take the time to watch this documentary about his music.

In the meantime, here’s a lovely little reminder of his energy. I didn’t actually get to hear this concert live (we didn’t get to the 2009 inauguration until after the concert), but I remember the wonderful energy of the days there in DC. Two of my all time favorite musicians — Pete Seeger and Bruce Springsteen — sing a famous song, with ALL of the verses, some of which we tend to forget.
