Listening to boys
I am not a big fan of the film Missrepresentation (although I loved the trailer), so I have some skepticism about what this film might ultimately be. Still, that being said, I think this trailer for the film is VERY powerful and worth pondering.

It's been a while since I've seen the film, but I primarily remember feeling that it took away a lot of women's agency, and made it seem that most media were very deterministic -- that is, creating effects in women's lives without women having any way to resist them. I would affirm a feminist critique of media, but would also affirm the ability of women, especially young women, to resist such media and create in empowering ways in other media.
