Mystery and biblical engagement

I find this fascinating — and utterly impenetrable, because I do not have a clue what the various scientific terms mean. Which makes me wonder if there are ways in which glorious choral music might be fascinating, but impenetrable to people who don’t have a clue what the biblical texts and allusions are about? Maybe an experience of a certain kind of mystery? In this case, though, the music helped me find the process engaging. So what happens if our practice of music associated with biblical texts is no longer engaging to people? What invites them to experience mystery?
