Holy Work

/ 15 June 2013

Eboo Patel gave the commencement address at the inaugural commencement of Claremont Lincoln University last month, a school established to desegregate religious education at the university level. I am deeply moved by his words, particularly his conviction that “building relationships between people who deeply disagree with each other is holy work.” Indeed, that’s the work I seek to embody, whether in Respectful Conversations, in the Art of Hosting, or simply in my scholarly writing. Take a moment to listen to him!
