White privilege conference this week

I suppose I should be pleased that Katherine Kersten went after this national learning event. It means that the StarTribune at least mentioned the conference. But of course Kersten’s column is remarkably dismissive of what is actually a compelling and substantial group of scholars and activists gathering from all over the country to engage issues of white privilege and systemic racism. Even if you can’t go to the conference, check out their website, which includes this very useful list of organizations from around the country who are committed to dismantling racism and building a just society.
