On Wisconsin

I grew up in Wisconsin, and most of my family still lives there. I’m so proud of my sister Sharon for joining in this protest (she’s a public school teacher). I’ve long been proud of Wisconsin’s populist progressive roots, and I hope that this moment reminds us all of them! Everyone out there should understand that the unions have offered to agree to the lower benefits and salaries, they just refuse to give up their collective bargaining rights. (And if you want to support the Wisconsin Democratic senators who’ve left the state to prevent Wisconsin’s governor from this naked power grab, send them a little cash.)
