Justice and race: nonexistent in our criminal justice system?

These statistics are compelling, hard to refute, and evidence of the deep injustice we continue to perpetuate in the US. Read the whole piece, but here’s just one statistic to get you there: “African Americans, who are 13% of the population and 14% of drug users, are not only 37% of the people arrested for drugs but 56% of the people in state prisons for drug offenses.”
