The British government has produced a really lovely, concise, well-researched guide for facilitators of informal adult learning who want to develop their skills — and it’s free and available as a .pdf document.

Keep in mind that most religious education happens in informal contexts, and that children's ministry requires great adult education, and you'll have two more reasons to take a look at this book.
