Young people’s ofrendas

I’m getting ready for chapel on Monday, which is All Souls Day (to be distinguished, at least by Catholics, from All Saints Day), and in the process we decided to bring a bit of “el dia de los muertos” to Luther. We’re doing a number of things, including putting together two ofrendas for the sanctuary. In the process I learned that one of the local high schools has a whole art project devoted to kids creating ofrendas and they are now being exhibited at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Way cool!
