ARGH. Bad use of the web
Here’s an example of how NOT to use the web, from one of my alma maters, the Harvard Divinity School. They begin well, with a story about a professor who is also a musician who writes contemporary folk and blues music. So far, so good. But that’s all it is. The story. No way to listen to any of this professor’s music, no link to his CV. I’m intrigued by what the article says he works on —
Fascinated with the intersection of ideas and traditions, his work combines his interests in the history and practices of Christian liturgy, theology and public life, biblical interpretation and proclamation, as well as the performing arts, including theater, film, and music.
-- not least because these are issues I deeply care about, and I haven't encountered this person before. But I'm going to have to dig to do so, and it would have been so easy for the piece to simply include that information!
