Avalon School rocks!

Ok, I know I’ve written in here before about our son Alex’s high school, but I’m just back this evening from their annual recognition night and I have to share how incredibly excited I am about this school! I haven’t been a big fan of the charter school movement in general, but this particular charter school, which is sponsored by Hamline University, is a wonderful, close-knit, incredibly creative, active learning community. It gives me great hope to watch these kids, who are part of a diverse and welcoming community, learn and grow.
