Flu fears?

Given the rising level of concern over the recent flu cases in Mexico, California, Kansas and New York, I thought it might be prudent to remind people of some useful links. Here’s an entire issue of the Lutheran journal Caring Connections which is devoted to pandemic issues. If this really is a pandemic, you can be certain that pastoral care — on a community level — will be crucial. There’s also this very useful pandemic influenza citizen’s guide, which is written in a very accessible style, and is chock full of information on how to minimize risk, how to care for people who get sick, what a pandemic is, and so on.
