A velvet reformation?

The Atlantic, a magazine which consistently surprises me with its excellent articles, has a fascinating piece in this month’s issue on Rowan Williams. The piece is full of interesting tidbits and quotes from Willams’ writing, some of which I’ve never read but now really want to find. For instance:

Christian faith has its beginnings in an experience of profound contradictoriness. [So the church should proclaim] a hidden God, who does not uncover his will in a straight line of development, but fully enters into a world of confusion and ambiguity and works in contradictions.
