John Kitzhaber for HHS?

DailyKos has an interesting introduction to John Kitzhaber which I really appreciated, not simply for his name and bio, but more for the framework of principles he’s laid out for a new health system. I also appreciated that particular post because of this diagram, which has a way of focusing one’s mind on the challenge in front of us in terms of the federal budget:

There are other excellent candidates for HHS out there, too, so I think that the loss of Daschle is nothing to mourn.
