Support for kids with special needs

I’m on the road at various meetings, but I still managed to find some time to watch the debate on Wednesday. There’s lots to comment on, but the one thing I want to point to is a pertinent and concise post from a woman with Asperger’s Syndrome on her frustration with Sen. McCain. As many people have pointed out, there’s very little a person who’s just learning their child has special needs knows about the lifelong journey ahead of them. If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you will already know that I strongly support Sen. Obama for president. Remarks like Sen. McCain’s on Wednesday only make that support deeper and more visceral for me.
