RIP Joey Kaiser
For months I’ve been walking along the Mississippi River in the mornings, and passing by the posters — some xeroxed, some hand-made — asking for any information from people who might have seen Joey Kaiser. Because he was 16 when he disappeared, and my son Alex is 16, I nearly always had tears in my eyes as I thought/prayed about him.
Two weeks ago, his body was found by the Ford plant, near the river. Here is a lovely and thoughtful post by Fr. Forliti, the chaplain at Cretin-Durham High school (and incidentally, our priest because he also presides at St. Kate's). His family remains in my prayers. My heart aches.
