FISA is but one example of deliberate policies

I think Glenn Greenwald is very persuasive. And I agree with him when he notes that

It will never stop being jarring that Pulitzer-Prize-winning revelations from the New York Times that the President and the telecom industry were committing felonies for years culminated in the full-scale protection of the lawbreakers and retroactive legalization of the criminality by the “opposition party” which controls the Congress.

That's why I find it so disheartening that Obama voted with the President on FISA. It's not enough to make me stop campaigning for him -- in fact, it's now clear we have to redouble our efforts to build a movement that can not only elect him, but pressure him -- but it does take some of the joy out of the process for me.
