St. Patrick

It bugs me that St. Patrick’s day seems to be all about drinking yourself into oblivion and green beer. How about remembering a little bit about who he was in the first place? Here’s one post from someone who links him to peace and reconciliation. And here’s the wikipedia version. I’m not entirely sure I “buy” all of these, given that some of his impact clearly had to do with the demise of the Druids, but still, it’s worth thinking about the saint whose day this is.
