Caucus numbers from last night
Get this: Mitch Gordon from the DFL notes "four years ago, when we had a virtually unprecedented level of turnout for the 2004 caucuses, we had roughly 3,200 caucus attendees for the entire Senate district. Last night we had just under ten thousand." (personal email)

There is some real handwringing going on among the parties and lawmakers about the future of caucuses in Minnesota. We may well move to a primary system partly as a result of how difficult it was to actually work with a large turnout. And large turnout is what we all dream of.
