Obama resources
Barack Obama is in Minneapolis this afternoon, but the event is already “sold out” (free tickets, but you need one to get in). We’d already been planning a neighborhood conversation, anyway, so we’re not going. But I wanted to post here (just because it’s handy for me later) some of the useful Obama stuff I tend to share with people.
- Yes, We Can music video
- Obama's campaign site
- A powerful speech on faith and politics that Obama gave back in 2006, well before this campaign started
- Information on Obama's donor base
- Barack Obama's speech at Ebenezer Baptist Church (video)
- Obama's South Carolina victory speech (video)
- Lawrence Lessig's endorsement of Obama
- Garrison Keillor's endorsement
- Caroline Kennedy's endorsement of Obama
- Toni Morrison's endorsement
- Moveon.org's endorsement (and tools to get involved and help out)
- George Lakoff's endorsement
- Andrew Sullivan (on the TheAtlantic) on Why Obama Matters
- A collection of Barack Obama speeches, interviews, etc. in video format up at YouTube
- Some individual responses (collected by a British newspaper) to Obama
- Analysis of candidates on poverty issues
- A combined Jewish response to the nasty emails circulating about Obama
- Barbara Ehrenreich on why we need a movement
