Math support

One of the things that kids preparing to go to college need to think about, is how ready they are to enter into classes at that level. Often times I think kids don’t have a clue what college level classes will be like. That’s one reason why I think the PSEO program in Minnesota is so great. Another nifty thing I just came across is this site from the University of Iowa, which gives examples of various levels of math. So you can take sample final exams from Algebra I, II, Geometry, and so on, to see how you’d do at the college level. There are also other kinds of quizzes and tutorials there. For someone like me, who has a 15 year old sophomore at home, it’s never too early to start thinking about how to help him prepare for college.
