Video games and learning

The Teacher’s College Record has a positive review up of James Paul Gee’s new book Good Video Games and Good Learning: Collected Essays on Video Games, Literacy and Learning. I really enjoyed his earlier work, so I imagine this book will be rich and interesting, too. He continues to assert — in ways that make good sense to me — that there can be substantial learning taking place in video gaming, and that teachers ought to be paying more attention.
