Academic work on video games

There’s been a LOT of scholarly interest in video and computer games over the last few years, and recently Henry Jenkins put together a post that linked to a lot of his own writing on the topic, as well as other useful blogs. If you’re interested in introduction to game theorizing, it’s a great place to start.

Thanks for this. Just prior to running off to seminary I was in the doctoral program at IU - Bloomington. During my stint there I was involved in a research project on literacy, education, and tapping into the power and learning potential of digital media, especially, oddly, first-person shooter games.
