St. Somebody

/ 16 July 2007

More than a year ago, a colleague sent me the draft of a novel that takes place in a city Catholic high school, wondering if I’d read it and provide some feedback. I LOVED the book, and have since tried to help find a publisher for it. Unfortunately, no publisher has nibbled. Fortunately — for the rest of us, that is — the author is starting to put it up in an online format. So take a moment and read the first chapter of St. Somebody Central Catholic. You can subscribe via RSS and follow the story that way. One thing to keep in mind (because it might seem confusing in this format), is that each major section of the book is set in a particular liturgical season, and the author notes that season in a separate chunk of text. So, “ordinary time” and then the first chapter, and so on.
