Aberdeen, SD flooding

I exchanged emails with a former student this week, Jeff Whillock, who is pastoring a church in Aberdeen, SD. I confess to having been oblivious to the suffering over there, during the flooding they experienced this past May. His video presentation, however, woke me up a bit. The pictures are stark, the suffering clear. But it was also encouraging to see how the church there is responding. The images ended with a prayer that rain might come instead to those who need it. We certainly need the rain here in parched western Europe, and I pray that families in Aberdeen may find ways to recover.
