Richard Rorty

Thanks to Fernando’sDesk for alerting me to the death of Richard Rorty. I echo Fernando’s comments, the quote he uses, and also the sense that Rorty was a signally important philosopher for the context we’re currently living in. More than anything, I appreciated his passion for fighting social injustice, and his belief that thinking carefully and clearly about social problems could lead to constructive ways forward.
