Playing tourist
We’ve had two friends from St. Paul visiting us this Easter season, and the last several days we’ve turned into tourists — spending part or all of every day exploring famous parts of Vienna. In the last several days alone, we’ve visited KunstHausWien, the Judisches Museum, the ruins of the Vienna synagogue that was destroyed in 1421, Schonbrun Palace (especially the gardens and maze), the Spanish Riding School (and stables), Trzesniewski’s Buffet, Cafe Griensteidl, Fratelli Gelato, walked from Leopoldsberg to Kahlenberg, and made a pilgrimage to Mariazell (Alex has a great account of that trip). Whew! I need a vacation from my sabbatical!
