More e-alliance resources

The global ecumenical advocacy alliance (which does work on HIV/AIDS as well as global trade issues) has published its August newsletter, which is chock full of useful resources. I was intrigued by what Catholic theologian Bryan Massingale had to say, and by this report done by the Jesuit Center in Lusaka, Zambia.

Sorry! I had too much spam sending bad URLs, and so had to make it impossible to implement links. You can still type them in, just don't put them within the html tags.

Thanks so much, Mary. Bryan Massingale is an outstanding theologian and ethicist. Every time he gives a paper at CTSA I go to that session!

The issues of social justice related to AIDS are vital; it's no accident that the most marginalized populations in various societies have been more vulnerable to HIV infection. Various people and organizations have been howling about this for a couple of decades now. (I remember quoting one of them in a homily at an AIDS healing service in Boston about a dozen years ago.) Very glad to see the report from the Jesuits of Zambia.

Did you see the excellent public tv two-part special on the age of AIDS? It was to honor the 25th anniversary of the identification of what we now know as AIDS and HIV infection. Lots of great info, good for students (and others!):

Can we post a link to a URL using code?
