Back from Wyoming

/ 25 May 2006

I’ve been out in Wyoming (that’s me with the “Hope” sweatshirt on) visiting my sister and her family (who are dealing with all sorts of very difficult challenges at the moment, prayers are definitely welcomed), and didn’t have any way to blog there. It’s remarkable how little, easy, internet access was possible in Jackson! Even the public library only made the net available on a very limited, “use their PCMIA card only” basis. Sigh.

In any case, here are some great posts that were waiting amidst the more than 200 blog posts my newsreader was keeping for me: Adán noting a WCC study that shows how biased news coverage is, a study showing young viewers of The Daily Show are better informed than viewers of FoxNews (big surprise), TheCorner spreads some love on the Dixie Chicks' new album (which I also like, especially the song Lullabye), and Larry Lessig recommends the new film An Inconvenient Truth (which documents Al Gore's anti-global warming crusade) (and will be showing June 9th in Uptown, here in Minneapolis).
