Satire points to truth

Sometimes my frustration and anger just swell over in ways that make it very hard to retain any sense of balance or hope, and this has been happening a lot lately given all that our government is up to. But here are two pieces of satire that at least made me smile — even in the midst of the other emotions — and can make the point more strongly than our mainstream media seem able to do. Here’s Jon Stewart’s comic book “The Decider,” and a version of an old song on the same theme.
