Trees of life

One of the wonderful things about being a parent is learning from your children. Seeing through my son Alex’s eyes isn’t always something I can do, but lately his photography has provided a window. In school this past week he was given the assignment of writing a caption to accompany a photo he took. Here is the photo: treessm.jpg

And here is what he wrote about it:

"This picture is of a few trees in the middle of the snow. It is named "Trees Of Life" because it reminds me of the fact that all of life is connected and works together. I imagine each branch of the tree to be a specific form of life, and because they are all linked to one another, they create one new and powerful being. A being that makes the whole other trees/beings marked as a part of a community of beings that are multiple beings in themselves. The arrangement of one tree being in the foreground and another in the background marks a sense of control in the line of life."
