There’s been a lot of discussion in the blogosphere lately about Peter Daou’s analysis of the “triangle” of mass media (image here). I’m not entirely convinced that he’s giving enough credit to ordinary people — the argument begins to sound a lot like “big, bad media in bed with the rightwing” — but there is still some truth to it. In any case, in the midst of such systems, netroots media and paid media become alternatives. Here’s a great music video that the AFSC is circulating that is a blunt, powerful song about the war sung by Robert Cray. And here’s an evocative commercial that David Michael Green is proposing that the Dems could run nationally.
