Arresting picture
I'm still digging out from under an avalanche of work that piled up like a blizzard in my absence, but I'm going to try and post at least snippets from my trip. Here's a picture I took -- it's a poster from the side of a street trolley stop -- that I think is fascinating. It's an ad for one of the main daily newspapers. The german -- "mehr durchblick in der wirtschaft" roughly translates to "more perspective on the economy". That tagline of "Die presse, die zietung fur durchblicker" is roughly "the newspaper for perceptive people." Anyway, can you imagine such an ad for one of our main, daily newspapers? The contrast is striking.
