“Shameless” is right

Hunter, from dailyKos, points to the “deficit-reduction” package voted on by the Senate, and calls it shameless. I think s/he (I don’t know who Hunter is) is right. This package, which purports to save money by basically throwing poor people out in the cold even more than they are right now, is WRONG, on some very basic, fundamental levels — and even more so when paired with the huge tax cuts the Republicans continue to support, and the quagmire in Iraq, into which billions of dollars are being poured.

Call your Congresspeople and urge them to defeat the parallel proposal in the House.
