Thanks to the “Howard-empowered people” for bypassing the NYTimes ridiculous decision to keep their op-ed columnists beyond commercial walls. Paul Krugman has a great piece up — excerpted at the blog site — that points out some of the reasons why we’re in the mess we’re in, many of which can be laid in part at the feet of a mass media too economically connected to be clear, let alone investigative in its reporting.
