Pray for New Orleans

Eric was just in New Orleans last week for an archivists’ meeting, and my sister-in-law Gabriella used to live there. So we have very clear memories of this city, and fond feelings for it. I can’t even imagine what New Orleans’ residents are feeling right now as Hurricane Katrina approaches, but given how afraid I am for them while I sit safely up north, I suspect it must be much more difficult to be there in person. According to news reports, there aren’t even enough ways out of the city for people who want to leave.

Pray for New Orleans, and for all others who are hurting from past hurricanes, or in fear with this one approaching...
