Websites for domestic church

/ 26 August 2005

The Catechists’ Connection recommends the following websites under their category of “domestic church”: Homefaith.com, the Post Institute for Family-centered Therapy (I’m not sure why?), Momscape.com, and something called “mymommasaid.com” (which at the moment has nothing on it except a plea for more advice).

Aside from the Homefaith.com site, I'm not sure any of these are all that useful. I would recommend instead -- or in addition? -- the Youth and Family Institute, elements of the whole community catechesis model, the Center for the Theology of Childhood, and the Center for Family and Community Ministries (all of which probably betray my more academic tendencies at heart).

All of which also makes me wonder what could/should/would be the unique contribution we can make at Luther in our new children, youth and family ministry degree program? And probably more to the point, what resources would you recommend?
