The language of film

Thanks to Dick for pointing me off to this excellent and brief essay about ways to help students think about engaging film, by making film. This is a key media literacy insight, and it’s encouraging to see faculty trying to make it happen. It’s also encouraging to me, since I’m hoping to require students to make short videos in a class I’ll be doing this fall.
