Canada approves civil marriage law

It’s official: throughout Canada gay couples can apply for and receive marriage licenses. The law does not require religious ceremonies, or require religious communities to not discriminate, it simply makes it possible for the legal, civil rights to be conferred. Hurray for our neighbor to the North!
