Australia: day six

/ 13 July 2005

Most of this day we’ve spent in internal commission business, but perhaps the most exciting/interesting stuff for me has been the discussion around our doctoral fellowships. We have been supporting a number of doctoral students from emerging contexts in Asia, Latin America, and Africa, and it is wonderful to begin to see their research taking shape.

One of biggest dilemmas, however, has been that we still have a few fellowships available for graduate students from the Asia/Pacific context and we have few, if any, applicants for them. I need to get to work with my extended networks and see if I can help to alert people to these fellowships!
