Save PBS and NPR

Yes, this morning I recommended you try out Air America. But this afternoon I am newly conscious of the threat that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is facing — the House appropriations committee has approved deep cuts in funding to the CPB. Such threats have been made before, and the cuts restored in the general budgeting process, but this is the first time I’ve gotten such urgent action alerts from friends in the field. So… take a moment to contact your Congresspeople and let them know you want to save CPB’s funding! An easy way to take action electronically is here, but it’s always better to make a real phone call.
