Class in America
I pointed earlier to the series on class that the NYTimes is doing. Now there’s a piece up at CommonDreams that notes that the Wall Street Journal is also taking on this issue. The authors of the essay, Felice Yeskel and Jennifer Ladd are the co-directors of Class Action, a “national organization working to bridge the class divide.” Alongside the work of Ruby Payne, these activists may be giving us some useful tools to really engage the issues of class in the US — a set of issues that, at least to me, seem to be more taboo than just about anything else!
