Bruce brings me to tears

Bruce Springsteen’s new album — Devils and Dust — was released today. I loved his last one (The Rising), and this one is very powerful, too. The last song on the audio cd side (it’s been released as a dual disk, cd + dvd) is called "Matamoros Banks" and is from the point of view of someone who died trying to cross our southern border in search of a better life. It’s a beautiful and a deeply sad song, a prayer.
