Welcome to Kimmi and Mushi

It’s only been two months (exactly) since Madeline died, and I wasn’t sure I was ready to adopt another cat yet. But a plea went around the UofMN libraries listserv for someone to adopt some cats from a family that had to move to an apartment that didn’t accept pets. And voilá —we have two new cats! Kimmi is about four years old, a grey and black tabby with a long sleek body, and a wonderfully warm purr. Mushi is only six months old, and is Kimmi’s niece. She’s almost the same coloring, but has longer hair instead of Kimmi’s short hair. So we are now a family with cats again. I’m no longer outnumbered — three girls live here (two of them cats) and three boys. Gender equity!
