Digital image archives

/ 7 December 2004

Speaking of nice resources that universities make available, Yale has announced that its Manuscripts and Archives Digital Image Database (MADID) is now publicly available for free on the net. It currently contains more than 5750 images from the archives, and more are being added.

The University of Minnesota also has a fascinating set of poster images from WWI and WWII that they're in the process of making available. For that matter, the university has a handy link to a number of collections of images that are available.

One last link: the Wabash Center's Internet guide to image collections.
