4pm shift in exit polls

Here’s an interesting graph, linked through Lessig’s blog, of the shift from the 4 pm election day exit polls to the actual election results. Lessig notes that it’s an interesting academic puzzle — academic because it won’t affect the outcome of the election, but worthy of genuine curiosity and puzzlement nonetheless.
