Hack the Vote?

/ 17 November 2004

You know, it is dangerous to argue that our election was compromised by voting problems. But it may be even more dangerous not to engage the questions directly and deal with them once and for all. When even Republican hackers raise issues, it appears to me that we ought to be doing everything we can to promote a voting process that is clear, transparent, and MANAGED PUBLICLY. If — no, pause, BECAUSE — we are proclaiming that we are spreading democracy around the world, we’d sure as heck better get our own house in order first.
