Here we go again…
Bob Herbert writes in today’s New York Times (August 16) about continuing efforts to suppress the vote in Florida. On the excuse that they are investigating voter fraud from the Orlando mayoral election last March, officers from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (a state level agency, whose employees report to Governor Jeb Bush) have been interrogating and in other ways intimidating many voters — most of them Black and elderly. There is also a piece in this same NYTimes about the FBI’s aggressive investigations of anti-war and other protest groups in advance of the political conventions. Welcome to America…
