Home again safely

Well, Alex made it! He’s home recovering, and in a walking cast, although at the moment he’s also on a lot of pain medicine so “walking” is sort of a loose term. He can get around the house, but we’re not quite ready to go on any long expeditions. Thanks to all of you who kept us in your prayers! And thanks, in particular, to Dr. Koop and the excellent staff at Gillette Children’s here in St. Paul, particularly Alex’s nurses — Amy on the first shift, Barb on the second, and Katie on the third. While this kind of experience is never something I would call pleasant, they at least helped us make it manageable.
